Like a lot of other website companies, we offer a "package" to get a new business or organization off the ground and up and running quickly.
However - there is one little difference between the websites we produce and how the vast majority of other companies put a website together:
We set up websites so you can update the information - all by yourself (see our online demo for an example).
No special software required. (However, some typing and word processing skills are preferred.)
(Please understand - we can also maintain your site for you, but what we have discovered is that a large marjority of site owners would like to have the ability to make changes to the information on their site - but they just can’t because of the way it was designed. Also note: in most cases, we can retrofit an existing website to allow owner updates.)
We call it the Essential Website Package and it costs $995 and includes:
- All administrative and setup work required to setup the new website, including redirecting email sent to the site to the email address of your choice
- A Home/About page
- Any two additional information-based pages (your choice) -- you get to set up any others you need (but we can help...).
- High-end contact page (form driven) - with embedded Google map to your business/organization?s location (if desired) along with phone numbers and physical mailing address
- Custom designed presentation (2 views: Home Page and another view for use on "all other" pages). For samples of our custom presentations, see our Website Gallery. All are custom presentations created to suit their owner’s preferences
- Online software to update the contents of information-based pages (up to 3 included; total allowed: unlimited)
- Your choice of any two of the website software packages listed for this product on the Price Sheet page.
But - what about web hosting, you might ask? We can provide that as well as domain name registration additionally. The reason we don’t bundle these two items in with our Essential Website Package is for the simple reason that our clients that come to us for overhauls and repairs typically already have these elements. Therefore -- there’s not much point in charging people for what they already have (is there??).
If required, the following additional charges apply:
- Web hosting, full year subscription (sorry, no monthy subscriptions available) - $215.00 (about $16.50 a month and we do all the setup, maintenance and administrative work for free during that year).
- Domain name registration $35/ 2 yrs for .COM and .NET. $35/ yr for .ORG. When two or more domain names are ordered at the same time, the second through however many needed are only $25 / yr. Again, we do all the setup, maintenance, administrative and other work required to make the domain name active for a website.
Unfortunately, we have to invoice separately the work to setup and maintain web hosting services and domain names when not provided by HirMon. In general, this separate invoicing works out to either the same amount per service or slightly higher.
Also note that there are a few web hosting services that are inadequate for use by our (or anyone else’s) website software.
Clear as mud, right? It is one thing to look at a list of "stuff" and try to figure out what those things might mean to a prospective website owner; especially what a site based on this package would look like (and do...). Now, if you are new to the Internet, here is something you might not have considered:
Every item in that list in some way or form is required to setup any new website. What we are doing is providing all those elements in one complete package for you to modify and create the site you need!
Need more than just those things? Here is something you rarely hear from other web designers: No problem. We have in-house solutions to accommodate both simple and exotic requests!
For example, suppose you need:
- A shopping cart - our "Someday" Shopping Cart can handle anything from conventional items, to yard-goods (e.g. fabric sales) and even supports electronic file delivery. This fixed-rate shipping system allows owners to set up volume discounts in seconds.
- To publish articles - For those situations where a Blog won’t work (or not work well). Do things like publish tips, product specification sheets (PDF format is allowed) or press releases for a business/organization.
- Some way to allow visitors to send you really large files that can’t be emailed as file attachments.
- A way to install new or updated files onto your website for visitors to download.
